The IT Tribe lead is the servant leader of the tribe. Each tribe consists of several Squads that deliver software changes for a specific product line. The IT Tribe Lead is hierarchically responsible for the IT people in the Tribe and is accountable for the smooth delivery of working products by the Tribe. The IT Tribe Lead focusses on continuously improving the agility and overall delivery performance of the tribe and closely liaises with the Business Tribelead on the tactical & strategical vision for the tribe as well as the mid & long-term tribe priorities.
The Research & Development (R&D) department is structured in Tribes and Squads*, each Tribe is responsible for a specific part of our Product Portfolio or Technology Stack. They are organized in a biz-dev structure which means a tribe consists of people from both the IT and Product department working closely together to achieve the common tribe goals. They strive to enable the squads and tribes to be as autonomous as possible, both from a priority as well as a delivery perspective. The purpose of the Acquiring Tribe is to “Integrate new, maintain most relevant and sunset nonrelevant acquirer connections”. (*) The R&D department organizational setup is inspired by the Spotify Engineering Culture.
The objective of the department is to develop, manage and deliver the software product portfolio. R&D adds value by creating marketable products that help our customers to become more successful and by supporting internal business processes. Agility, professionalism, ambition, autonomy, flexibility and open communication are characteristics of the department. The team is highly international and the working language is English.
